A New Chapter: Why Arya Animal Acupuncture is Now Bhatt Integrative Veterinary Specialty

Why I Changed the Name — And What It Means for You and Your Pet

This change has been a long time coming, and today, I finally get to share it with you: Arya Animal Acupuncture is now Bhatt Integrative Veterinary Specialty.

To be honest, it’s a little surreal writing those words. Arya has been my heart for so many years — a space where pets could heal, and where their families could feel supported through the ups and downs of illness, pain, and recovery.

But what started as a clinic focused on acupuncture has grown into something much more. And it was time our name reflected the whole story.

Representing Our Multi-Specialty Mission

When I first opened Arya, I wanted to create a different kind of veterinary experience — one that combined traditional medicine with the power of integrative therapies like advanced animal acupuncture, Chinese herbs, food therapy, laser treatments and even more advanced therapies to treat complicated conditions. But more importantly, I wanted to give pets what I felt was often missing in conventional care: a truly whole-body approach.

Over the years, something beautiful happened. We began treating not just pain and mobility issues, but complex internal conditions — cancer, kidney disease, liver issues, autoimmune disorders, anxiety, neurological deficits. We saw dogs recover mobility after injury. We helped cats with chronic inflammation finally find relief. We gave pet parents answers when no one else could.

And now, with the addition of Dr. Nonya Fiakpui’s in-house cardiology care, and more up-and-coming veterinary specialists joining forces with us, our clinic is evolving into a specialty hub — a place where integrative medicine and advanced veterinary expertise work together.

It’s no longer just about acupuncture. It’s about restoring hope through collaboration, science, and soul.

Honoring My Family Legacy

This new name also means something deeply personal to me.

My parents are both physicians — people who devoted their lives to helping others. I grew up in a household where healing was talked about over dinner. Where medicine wasn’t just a career — it was a calling. This practice, this mission, is my way of continuing that legacy.

Putting my family’s name on the door felt like the right way to honor their influence… and take responsibility for the future I’m building here. It’s a promise. A commitment. And I don’t take it lightly.

What Stays the Same (Because It Matters)

If you’re wondering what’s changing — and maybe feeling a little nervous — please hear this:

Our heart hasn’t changed.
Our team hasn’t changed.
Our standards haven’t changed.

We’re still the same group of deeply committed professionals who know your pet by name. We still craft customized treatment plans that include everything from acupuncture to functional lab work to pain management and nutrition counseling. And we still believe your pet deserves to be treated like family — because they are.

What You’ll See in This New Chapter

You’ll begin to notice our new name — Bhatt Integrative Veterinary Specialty — on our website, appointment reminders, signage, and social media.

But this isn’t just a rebrand. It’s the start of an even more robust, comprehensive care experience for your pet.

Here’s what we’re adding and expanding:

  • Specialty Services like in-house cardiology, advanced diagnostics, and more collaborative referrals

  • New Therapies that support regenerative healing, cancer care, and pain relief

  • Patient-Centered Design in our upcoming new location — with an open floor plan, soothing environment, and space for pets to feel safe and seen

We’ll keep you informed at every step. And as always, you can reach out anytime with questions.

What I Hope You’ll Take Away From This

I know change can feel uncomfortable — even when it’s good.

But here’s what I want you to know:
This change was made for you and because of you.

Because you trusted me to care for your pet when they were in pain.
Because you asked the hard questions when something didn’t feel right.
Because you’ve been part of this clinic’s journey — and your stories, your pets, your love — have shaped who we are today.

So thank you. For believing in integrative care. For showing up for your animals. For walking this road with me.
